About the MAP
In Denmark, Nordregio coordinates the Multi-Actor Platform Denmark. As the name suggests, the platform operates at the national level. It is based on the Rural Joint Council of Denmark with members from national organisations, municipalities and civil society. The thematic focus for the third MAP cycle is land-use planning in the context of climate change.
MAP Denmark aims to formulate clear feedback and positions on the themes discussed within the MAP, improving the EU understanding of the situation in the Danish rural areas as well as the needs for policy regulation, support and research.
Objectives
The activities of this MAP are designed to achieve the following specific objectives:
- MAP objective 1: Publish a MAP Position Paper that present the discussion points and outputs of the MAP Denmark activities in Danish and English.
- MAP objective 2: Develop recommendations for policy-makers on rural development linked to land-use planning in the context climate change.
