About the MAP
In Estonia, Nordregio coordinates the Multi-Actor Platform Estonia. This platform is newly established and operates at the national level.
Social dimension of rural areas has been identified as the core theme. The MAP wants to explore how to attract young people to the countryside and create attractive jobs in rural areas. These topics are linked to social inclusion, poverty reduction, well-being and related to the area of action “Stronger rural areas” of the Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas.
Objectives
The activities of this MAP are designed to achieve the following specific objectives:
- MAP objective 1: Publish a MAP Position Paper that presents the discussion points and outputs of the MAP Estonia.
- MAP objective 2: Develop recommendations for policymakers on rural development and CAP.
Composition
Local citizens and businesses, research institutes and regional and national authorities.
