On 21 February 2022 the kick-off meeting for the brand-new Estonian MAP took place online. During the meeting participants had the opportunity to get more acquainted with each other, the project and to give their own perspective on the challenges and possibilities of rural areas in Estonia.
The Estonian MAP selected “Social dimension of rural areas” as its topic for 2022. As was discussed in the meeting the biggest questions regarding this topic are still: how to bring back the young people who have left for the cities? How to include young people in community activities so that they can take responsibility for the development of their home area and carry it forward?
The next meeting of Estonian MAP will take place in May 2022.
