About the MAP
In Czech Republic, the European Rural Development Network (ERDN) – Institute of Agricultural Economics coordinates the Multi-Actor Platform VENUS. This platform is based on the existing Local Action Group (LAG) Opavsko, operating in the Moravia and Silesia regions. A high-level steering committee with representation of four different ministries provides guidance to the MAP. The Chairman and Director of the LAG play a central role in organising the platform.
The topic of energy saving has been identified as a theme with significant potential in the rural areas. The MAP will develop a conceptual basis for energy-saving strategies and create new projects in cooperation with the public sector and young people.
Through its actions, the MAP aims to save energy for society and costs for consumers.
The activities of this MAP are designed to achieve the following specific objectives:
- MAP objective 1: Provide conceptual basis for energy-saving strategies to entities from the public sector (municipalities and towns up to 25 000 inhabitants), small and medium-sized enterprises and households.
- MAP objective 2: Create a project stock for public sector entities, small and medium-sized enterprises and households.
- MAP objective 3: Propose a system of cooperation and technical assistance for the implementation of energy-saving strategies and the specific projects.
