On October 2022, SHERPA Multi-Stakeholder Platforms published their Position Papers on four relevant topics for the future of rural areas:
- Land use and climate change
- Digitalisation
- Social dimension in rural areas
- Sustainable and resilient value chains
These Position Papers have been produced in the framework of SHERPA’s 40 Multi-Stakeholder Platforms: pools of experts from science, practice and society, situated in rural areas of several European countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom).
Each Multi-Stakeholder Platform has selected the most relevant topic for its rural areas and discussed on it, with the help of a local facilitator. Hence, The outputs of the discussion have been synthesised in a Position Paper by each of the Platform.
What can you find in the Position Papers?
A contextual analysis of the rural context of different Multi-Stakeholder Platform, the specific rural needs and a set of recommendations concerning the selected topic for policy and research.
