The fourth edition of the Rural Inspiration Awards will spotlight projects that involve young farmers in rural areas.
On 19 May 2022, the European Network for Rural Development launched the latest edition of the awards. Every year the awards focus on a different theme and this year’s focus is on projects supported by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) that promote the Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas as well as this year’s thematic which is the European Year of Youth. National Rural Networks can submit projects until 22 July 2022. The award ceremony will provisionally take place in Brussels in early October 2022.

The competition was launched in 2019 and its purpose is to increase the visibility of agriculture and rural development, demonstrating innovative solutions for rural communities, recognising projects that involve young people (under 40 years old) in rural areas, and promoting knowledge exchange and networking among rural stakeholders.
