SHERPA’s fifth consortium meeting

SHERPA
10/12/2021

SHERPA consortium met for the fifth time on Thursday 9 December 2021. During the previous consortium meeting (22 April 2021), SHERPA partners were updated on the work carried out in each Work Package, the results achieved in 2020 and the activities realised in 2021.

One of the main objectives of 2021 was to implement the second MAP cycle. The MAPs have worked on one of three topics: (i) Change in production and diversification of the economy, (ii) Climate change and environmental services and (iii) Second phase of the vision (foresight exercise). This was done successfully with the development of 19 MAP Position Papers (eight on the diversification topic, six on the climate topic, and five on the foresight exercise) and three SHERPA Position Papers that are currently being developed.

The three main objectives of the fifth Consortium meeting were:

  1. To update SHERPA partners on the work carried out in Work Packages;
  2. To update SHERPA partners on the next SHERPA Annual Conference (31 January – 1 February 2022);
  3. To discuss the preparation of the SHERPA Papers for 2022. This was done in four parallel break-out sessions, where SHERPA Partners exchanged on the objective of the SHERPA Papers and exploring the sub-topics to be covered in the SHERPA Discussion Papers 2022.
